V.I.T. - Engineering GmbH (Vertex Inertial Technology Engineering or VIT) is an independent, privately held company headquartered in Vienna, Austria. It was founded in the early 2004 by a group of scientists, engineers and investors with the goal of commercializing analytic sensor fusion algorithms technology developed, tested and refined by members of the group over several years.


	VIT systems are highly demanded by users of various areas of aviation thanks to the following benefits they provide: a standalone complete system, simple installation without a need for periodic maintenance, fits practically all classes of flight vehicles (FV) due to small size and low power consumption, absence of similar systems in this price range on the world market.


	The VIT has brought the exclusive avionics technology to the land applications. VITCAPAS is a family of ultra-compact inertial navigation and motion sensor systems developed specifically for land-based applications. It provides the highly accurate continuous coordinates and motion parameters determination in tunnels, urban canyons, canopies of trees i.e. where GPS data is not always available.
